This project includes a password-encrypted key used for signing

I have a solution that has a reference to a compiled dll. I now have the class library for the dll.
I have removed the reference to the dll, added the new existing project and tried to build it.

I get this message box
This project includes a password-encrypted key used for signing. Enter the password
for the key file to import the key into the local crypto-store database for use

I do not have the password.
What does this mean and how can I get around this?

Thank you for your reply. I came across that post before I posted here. So what happens if I unsign it?

I guess it will do what you are after: Remove the signing of the project, allow you to change and recompile it.

You can read more about Assembly and Manifest Signing here:
