System Traydevelopment interface

It's been awhile since I developed MFC applications (before the System Tray).  Could someone point me to the general programming interface to place a program icon in the System Tray, have it change for various events, and allow a roll-over message, open an application when double-clicked, etc.?

Thanks for any help.
