We've 2 Exchange servers running BackupExec v11 Revision 6235. &nbsp;On one server the folder &quot;C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Data&quot; is over 30gb and on the other server it's 45mb. &nbsp; By the looks these are the job logs and for the larger folder it creates an XML file of 150mb and an HTML file of 250mb each day! This seems a bit excessive and is what we want to address/shrink. &nbsp;For the smaller folder it creates a 70kb XML file each day.<br />

Symantec Backup Exec 11d and disk space

The term "Backup" means the methods and processes involved to copy computer data (system data as well as application data) to media other than the ones where the data originally live (disk, tape, optical, cloud). "Restore" in turn means the methods and processes involved in data recovery, i. e., bringing back copied computer data to their original location.
