Hi,

Are you using UpdatePanel1.Update() method. If you use conditional update mode then you have to force update of UpdatePanel by Update() method.

No., here the code how i tried.,

  <asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel1" runat="server" UpdateMode="Always" ChildrenAsTriggers="true">
             <ContentTemplate>
 <asp:DropDownList ID="ddlModel" runat="server" AutoPostBack="True" OnSelectedIndexChanged="ddlModel_SelectedIndexChanged" Width="175px">
                  </asp:DropDownList>
  </ContentTemplate>
          <Triggers>
            <asp:AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="ddlModel" EventName="SelectedIndexChanged" />
          </Triggers>
             </asp:UpdatePanel>
