Linux Suse Enterprise server 9 root password doesn't work

I have Linux Suse Enterprise server 9 and I was login by root but sudnly today I can login as it gives me login faild as it is wrong pasword so would you please advice I anything I can do I have other username and password but for normal user not an administrator so is there any thing can help to unlock the root account or change the bassword back.

my root password I was using it till last week without problems.

    you need to boot the server with liinux rescue disk and have to go to single user mood to reset password
