Jquery hover overs

Hi,

I'm looking to achieve a similar effect to the following website - http://www.stellamccartney.com/int/en/ using JQuery instead of flash.

I'm looking to achieve the various hover over effects using Jquery, can any one please advise on the best approach and in particular provide examples of each of these effects actually working?

I'm also looking for a way to hover over an item and have the other items fade our using JQuery, so any examples / code examples of this working would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

WOW that's nice.  There's no knockin' Flash when it's done right.

Let me preface all of this by saying that my answer won't be worth any points ... I'm just providing a starter to push you in what I think is the right direction.

FIRST - the little translucent tooltip that follows the mouse and stays to the right of the mouse:
http://code.google.com/p/jquery-ahover/wiki/Documentation
http://media.brianbeck.com/shared/javascript/jquery-ahover/demo/demo.html

Perhaps some implementation of that plugin will get you close to the desired affect.

SECOND - Images that brighten or expand on mouseover:
This one is a little easier, it wouldn't be difficult to set the images each in a place each with a certain z-index and when moused over they scale out, change opacity, change z-index or whatever ... nothing taxing on the brain but much that will be tedious.

I probably haven't told you anything you don't already know ... best of luck to you.
