Personalising Remote Web Workplace

I'm currently setting up a new server system for a client. We are using SBS 2008 and WSS 3.0 for document/calendar/task sharing (via RWW).
The client has asked me to see if I can personalise the Remote Web Workplace a bit to bring it more in line with the company and make it easier for the staff to locate the information they need.
I was just wondering how I would go about doing this as I've had a quick look over the coding involved and to be honest it's over my head a little.
The main areas the client wants changing are the titles and icons involved (see attached JPG image from my client for a better idea).
The icons I believe I can do (just swap out the icon image files already there) but the text is baffling me a bit.
Also if anyone knows how to remove the middle button that would be great too. I've set permissions to stop the staff from using it but the client would rather it disappears.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Ask a moderator to move this to a Small Business Server zone.  They can answer this there.  You won't get an answer on the current zones.
