Ipod touch, email through exchange

In trying to set up mi ipod touch with my exchange server i have come across the following problems:
Originally my webmail/oma/owa worked fine. Since installing the latest sbs2003 service pack to get my vpn working the webmail etc. has stopped. Whenever i go to i get ip address denied. I've been through the setup and granted all ip's on every part of it (exhange,oma,owa,active-sync) but this only gives me the company web page regardless of what suffix i put after the /. I've tried resetting the default web page back to denied with, having access and changing the individual parts to all ip access but this just gives my the denied ip address page again.  I'm thinking i need to get oma/owa/webmail working again before trying any further with setting up the ipod touch. (which funnily enough comes back with "could not verify certificate" after installing the server certificate to the device, from an external connection, an internal connection and through the vpn).
This is winding me up lots. Sorry it's such a speil, can someone help? I'd even be willing to allow remote access to the server for you to look at the settings if you wanted to.

The SBS 2003 BPA (Best practices analyser) might well be able to help you out.  It analyses all of the SBS items as well as Server 2003 items and advises of any issues it finds.

oooo i've run that and it's come back with a few issues. \the most notable is: /Exchange-oma virtual directory local path does not match the /Exchange virtual directory local path.
How do i find out where that is pointing and where should it eb pointing to?
