Make files outside wwwroot folder accessible via web

We have windows 2003 server with IIS. It is running low on disk space. We are looking to upgrade but upgrading to a single drive will cause us severe downtime because our provider doesn't want to clone the drive. They will just install the OS and leave it like that.

Im thingking of just adding second drive but I don't know how can I make the files on the second drive become accessible on the web. Most of the file are video which will be stream on our website.

You could setup a virtual directory (e.g Media) which points to the new drive.  Right click on the domain in IIS Manager and click new - virtual directory and follow the wizard to configure the permissons and point the folder to the new drive.

Solutions: Virtual directory , Shared drive access

Either u can create new sites or folders to access Virtual direcory in new drive or point to the new share located in another server or add new drive and follow VD instructions ( VD Virtual diectory )
