What would cause current Outlook calendar info to disappear?

Jan and Feb calendars are not old enough to be archived. OST file is in tact. Nothing in the Archive calendar, so info wasn't accidentally archived.

When you say the OST file is intact, does that mean you have a backup of the ost file from before the 2 months were "lost", and have verified that the size of the backup ost copy is exactly the same as the current ost? If you have such a backup, restoring it may be helpful.
A possible problem exists with PDA/Smart Phone users if the Sync over-writes data from PDA to Computer. Those two months could have been lost if the PDA doesn't keep data that long.

No backup, just indicating that the file seemed healthy and was where it should be. User's Blackberry has a complete calendar for both months so I'm having him do a reverse synch to restore to the laptop. (An idea I got researching on this site). Will advise. Thanks.
