Remote scan alternatives

We ´re using citrix, now We´re trying 2X, but in the remote scanning, my boss said me that 2X don´t help us for it. We need something like ica protocol for it.

Have you tried scanning via Citrix and not had any luck? We've used USB scanners with XenApp 4.0, 4.5 and now with XenDesktop. For XenApp you need to enable Twain Redirection.

Whit Citrix We can make that (Twain redirection). We´re looking for an alternative to Citrix, We found 2X. Now, 2X don´t make the "Twain redirection". We need, maybe other product, or a product that only make the scanning.

There is a product called remotescan. It was pretty popular before citrix got better at Twain redirection. I had tested it years ago but never purchased as it was a little pricey, but that may depend on how many users you need and how much you are saving by using 2X instead of Citrix.

Yes, remotescan is pricey. We have too many users and 2X is a good solution for our system. But in remote scanning 2X don´t give us a real solution. So, I need something like remotescan. Don´t Citrix.

Yeah, since Citrix XP RemoteScan kind of became moot and I haven't used it since then either, but it was the only thing I could think of for him as well.

https://www.ambir.com/ambir/scanlink is the most complete 3rd party tool for what OP is looking to do. Remote-scan works ok but Blipman is right about them.
Thanks for the post! It is nice to see another option for scanning in an SBC environment. Can you ballpark the cost of the software?
our Company Recently has moved from high cost citrix to 2x XG and till know everything appears working as intended we have also published a Custom application which requires TWAIN REDIRECTION and I can Confirm that twain redirection works fine on 2x XG
2X Universal Scanning uses TWAIN redirection to allow any application using TWAIN technology to use hardware connected to the client device for scanning.
With 2X Universal Scanning there is no need to install any scanner drivers on the server. Only one scanner is shown on the server regardless of the number of users and sessions currently in use on the terminal server. The 2X Universal Scanning drivers come in 32 and 64 bit format.
