How to mirror two Windows 2003 standard servers

I have 2 windows 2003 standard servers. both are domain controlers on the same domain I want to mirror the data between the 2 servers so if the first one fails I can use the second. I am new to this but I think I have 3 basic options. the first would be to upgrade to the enterprise version of windows. the second woud be a stand alone raid 5 or 10 box that both servers could conect to and the third would be some third party software to mirror the two systems. I am looking for the pros and cons of each of thees options. is one better then the other or am I wrong in my line of thinking. is there a better way I have not thought of. any help will be greatly Appreciated .

if you have two domain controller in a same domain, both the domain controllers hold the same copy of  database ,their database is replicated to each other and is intact so incase one goes down another one can still provide services however the only thing you need to take care of is replication .make sure they replicate to each other.

Assuming you mean DATA and NOT Active Directory, you should consider DFS.  I use DFS to replicate the data between my home office server and my remote datacenter/office like space.
