I was using a FTP control on windows NT4.0 with vb6 and it would work with the folling command like from a DOS window to a OS9 operating system
PUT FileTest.txt /lpipe/datain
This command works from the DOS window in XP but I cannot find a VB6 control that will send a file to this OS9 cperating system because the /lpipe/datain is like a pipe not a real diretory. But it will work from the DOS FTP prompt. Does anyone knowof a control that would work I have tried several off the web but none will work for this on XP.

if it works from the shell, why do you use VB? simply make a system call "cmd.exe -c ftp.exe ....."
I don't use VB myself, better move your question in the VB zone maybe?
