Does the trunk command negate the switchport access command?
Hello Experts,
I have the following config on the switchports of a 3550 switch:
interface FastEthernet0/x
switchport access vlan 3
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk
switchport voice vlan 2
spanning-tree portfast
VTP is transparent
VLAN1 is shutdown
VLAN2 is voice
VLAN3 is data
I am trying to get the port to act like a switchport when a computer is plugged into it and a trunkport when a VoIP phone is plugged into it (non-cisco phone).
TIA for any and all help!
Sincerely,
Bob

Thank you, native vlan for the trunk ports was the problem.
