Acronis Enterprize Backup Solution

went to a seminar this weekend where they mentioned about full image backups and such...this software all so did a bare metal restore.....and also...lets say you server goes down..with in 15 minutes you could have a virtual server up and running and no user on the network would no different.....the company would use this and that would give you time (a day, a week, wouldnt matter) to fix your old server and to get it back on line.
This was a device  that sat on your network that would make image backups everynight and incremental backups every 15 minutes.....

question: i heard of Acronis backup solution and was wondering if this is a viable solution...does this work......

MY WORST FEAR is to have a Server Crash and have to install the OS and all Applications again.....I Have the Data, but the Time it would take to install the OS, Patches, SQL and varieous other applications..not to mention if you had to order the server machines and so on.....has anyone ran across this and/or have a solution or a way or means of creating image backups and what is the BEST PROGRAM out their for this......obviously the Servers need to be online...so the image backups would have to run at night , but with users on......

I AM CURRENTLY RUNNING BACKUP EXEC for BACKUP......THIS IS MORE OF LESS DISASTER RECOVERY PLANNING FOR MAJOR SERVER FAILURES>>>thanks, alot..

Ever since I started using Acronis, I cannot stand to use BackupExec.

Acronis does everything it says. Restores are seamless when you are working from an image. And having this kind of backup has other benifits as well (such as converting the backup to a VM).

I would highly recommend it. It works as promised. Once you try it - you'll never go back to using BackupExec.
