Backing up Active Directory with Symantec BackUp Exec 12.5

Hi, I am trying to use Symantec BackUp Exec 12.5 to backup my Windows Server 2003 Active Directory services.

I have the license and have registered it with BackUp Exec.

How do I proceed in making sure it is backing up the AD?

Thanks for your time.

Bob

In your backup job for any server that is a DC, you need to select the System State backup option.  This will back up AD directory services as well as other system components. Here's a Symantec tech article:

I don't have 12.5 to give you a screen shot but what you need to do on the domain controller is backup the system state.
Thanks

LOL - I do it all the time.  Today I started typing a post, got distracted for a few, finished typing and submitted, and by that time three other posts had already been added to the question ;-)
