Is there a simple way to extend this checkbook worksheet page, with all the same formatting, in a single operation?

Sorry about all that junk; something to do with Firefox. Still working on a fix.
When you see the cross with arrowheads, move your mouse a little right. You should see a slightly smaller cross that is the same length horizontal & vertical. When you have rows 68 & 69 completely highlighted, which includes highlighting the row number heading boxes, you should see a very tiny black box in the bottom right corner of the 69 row header box. place your mouse cursor over that. Once your mouse cursor is exactly on top of that little black box it will change to the cross shape. When you have the cross shape, click and hold the left mouse button and drag down.

I don't mean to belabor this point but on my system that little box is in the bottom left corner and when I place the cursor over it the big cross changes to a small cross.
Could this be a version issue? After getting my 64-bit system I purchased the newest version of Office. I can't find the "About" info any more because the new toolbar is radically different from the old version I was using and I haven't sorted out all the options the

Crap! I forgot to switch to IE; sorry.
I'm using excel 03, but I think all recent versions are the same. Please take a look at the attached file.

You said: "move your mouse slightly right of the bottom right corner of the light blue 69 box" The box; the field, not the row ID
The "light blue box" in column A displays the little box in the bottom left corner. I just don't see how you can discribe it as in the Right corner; even your attached file shows it in the the left corner of the box which is in column A.
Your description only fits if your ref point it the row ID, which in your example is 7. From that perpective the little box is to the right of it, but it's still in the left corner of the field being dragged.
I just can't figure out why you insist in saying the little box is in the right corner; unless...:
Do you refer to the "Post Comment / Solution" in the title of this window as being in the upper right hand corner?

Sorry for the confusion. I probably should not have referred to the box as the "light blue box". Your right, I should have referred to the row id, which is what I meant.

Perfect solution but confusing due to description of where to find the little box.

When I went to the bottom right; which produced a cross with arrowheads on it's ends, the result was to copy the 2 highlighted rows to a new location.
When I tried the Left corner; which created a plane cross, it worked.
