SQL Server on Hyper V Virtual Servers

I have a couple of questions about running MS SQL on top of Hyper V.

1) If the license is say a workgroup that is limited to x gb ram, does it matter that the underlying server has too much ram?
2) What sql license type would be needed to offer an instance of ms sql on multiple virtual servers? Where would I also get this license from? Vendor links etc?

    Hello AbeSpain,

Microsoft provides lots of concessions for OS licenses when run under Hyper-V. But nothing more for other applications.
