visual studio 2008 slow saving files over network drive

I have a problem with VS 2008 using a mapped network drive. I have all my websites on one central server, and I load project files in from there.

It has always been terribly slow opening projects over the network, but having moved from Windows Vista to Windows 7 beta, it now takes around 4 seconds to save a file.

I have Vista and Windows 7 machines. On the vista machines the files save straight away. Does anyone know what this could be?

Well I am not sure what this is. It seems to be sporadic. I went back to it and it was fast(er).

Must be network rather than VS2008.
