We want to use trunk (tagged) port from virtual switch to virtual machine on WMWARE ESX 3.5. Is that possible?

    Yup, if you want your VMs to see 802.1Q VLAN Tagged Traffic, provide a VLAN ID between 1-4095  while creating your vSwitch.
