Is there a way to set the 'nolock' option within Crystal Reports ver. 9?

We are getting deadlock errors randomly but our reports are just selecting records with no updating

This is ODBC and MS SQL Server 2000

I believe you can only set that feature if you build a view or stored procedure in the database.
