Displaying Filtered View of Site Collection Documents in multiple related sub-sites

I am trying to deploy a central library using a site collection document library.  One Attribute is Business Unit; another is Secondary Business Units.  Both are single-choice (Drop-down).  I was to display the view results in sub-sites [documents related to Business Unit, displayed in that business unit sub-site

    Accepted Solution

    Data View Webpart (DVWP) is your solution. In your sub-sites insert a DVWP (using Sharepoint Designer (SPD) which is free) that points to the document library in the "Home" page and filter it based on the column value. (this example is using Frontpage, however the same applies with SPD)
