I'm having trouble creating an actixe component from a third party dll. The dll has COM Methods and Properties inside of it. (Found this out using Dllexp.exe)
The dll is registered in C:\WINNT\System32.
I know it's registered because I did a filemon when running a script to test it.
When I run this vbs script on my PC. I get the following error message...
ActiveX component can't create object
Microsoft VBScript runtime error
I ran regedit and filemon while registering the dll and everything says "SUCCESS" in the logs
I'm able to create other activex components on my PC. Example..
The filesystem object works okay in a vbs script, so I 'm able to create activex on my pc.
Here is the kicker. I can run the script below on another persons pc and it works fine.
How can I cave in and find out more information from the error I'm getting? I tried many times
unregistering and registering it again on my PC, but something is not right, and I don't think it's my wscript or the dll not being registered.
A real brain scratcher. Any tools I can use to really dig deep into this activex error?
Additionally when I register the dll with regsvr32, I get "success" and it works on someone else's PC, but not on mine.
