Citrix Configuration

Hello -

I'm in the process of configuring Citrix to allow our doctors access outside via internet into Electronic Medical Records application (EclininicalWorks). I'm searcining for a easy solution that will allow them to connect and not create an issue with outside systems configuration. A simple, but secure connection is what I'm looking for. I curently have a Sonicwall SSL2000 that will allow me to creat a bookmark that will point to the Https or http connection into Citrix. As a backup I'm looking to launce an SSL configuration through Citrix which will allow a connection away from SSL2000.

I have followed the steps from www.dabcc.com (Learning the basics of Citrix XenApp5 for Windows Server 2008) and has provided me the steps to get Citrix installed. I have followed all steps except that I'm on one live production server R300 with Server 2008 STD. This server is not a DC it is part of a domain (RAPA.local). I only have one server for all components as we are only utilizing one application. I will later move to another server, but must get this project completed.

Part 5 of 7 - Page 8 of 9 I have installed Access Management Console for Windows Server 2008 (upgraded version) and Whenever I launch I get error message: This user does not have sufficent privilege to edit site configuration staored on this specified servers. I am logged on this server as an administrator account within AD, so not sure why I keep getting this error.

I appreciate all your help and support.

I am glad my Learning series helped you out.

It appears the account you are using is not a Full Farm Administrator.  Login with the account you used to install XenApp 5 and then add this other account as a Full Farm Administrator.

I'm confused...I used my admin account to install update and admin account has full control in AD. Can you explain? Thanks.

So you are using the same account that you used to install XenApp?

Just because an admin acct has full rights in AD doesn't necessarily mean the acct has rights to manage your XenApp Farm.

Yes sir.

Where on the server do modify the permissions to allow FC within XenApp Farm?

Thanks.

Ok...one door opens and another closes. I rebooted the server I know have access to web interface and do not get error message.

When I try to connect to http://win08citrix.rapa.local/citrix/xenapp it gives me a HTTP 400 Bad request. Can you point me in another direction to troubleshoot this error.

Thanks.

Is the Citrix License Server installed on this server also?  If so, did you make your web interface site the default site for IIS?

You could try uninstalling the site and then creating a new one (if you haven't done much customization to the site).

I can not start Default Website in IIS gives me error message I've attached. See second pic. It says, process cannot access file because it's being used by another process.

All neccessary Citrix components and updates. When I go into binding and change port 80 to 8080 it starts service, however when I browse site it brings up ISS 7.0 logo. I'm real close I can feel it. Any ideas?
