I am running SBS 2003 SP1. Here are my questions.

1) I am not sure what version of WSUS i currently am running. HOw do i find out?

2) I would like to upgrade to 3.0 but first i would like to remove the 27,748 updates it has waiting for approval. How do i go about removing these or installing them if needed?

3)Necessary step for removing WSUS completley from my server and then reinstalling 3.0, i can configure the rest after that step.

4)Off topic but i am also in need of reinstating a backup for this server.  I have a 40GB RD1000 Data cartridge that i just plugged into my server.  I believe backup has already been set up but could be set up wrong.  I have no idea how to do this the correct way, any thoughts, or documentation on uninstalling and reinstalling a backup the correct way, or do i just run the wizzard and he takes care of it?  Also if you don't mind explaining what you think i should be backing up or once again does the wizard do all this for me?

5)  I also just found another hard drive located in one of my local desktops (250GB) i would like to open up my actual server tower and throw it in there with a raid configuration or just as another place to store files, however I have no idea how to do this nor do I know the precautions to take in order to do it correctly without having anything fail. So breaking it down, I would like to take my already installed HDD that contains all of my shared/server files and whatnot and merge it with this other inrternal HDD is this possible?

1. Open wsus console>>>Click help>>>About
2. During your uninstall you are given the option to delete your database and wsuscontent.
   a. You could also run the WSUS Cleanup Wizard
   b. Purge / Delete corrupted or Un-needed patches on WSUS Server
3. Read here:  http://www.qualitysystemssolutions.com/2008/12/wsus-30-sp1-on-sbs-2003.html
4 and 5 I'll leave to other experts or suggest a separate question.
