I am trying to discover who installed an application from the Internet on a Windows Vista Machine. Is there a way to determine this. I have searched the event logs for the application in question and did not find any record on install.

The PC is a member of a domain environment.

Not unless you have audit logging on..  You *might* be able to search the registry for under the user accounts and see if the entry for the software is listed in one profile but not the others..
