Outlook 2007 can't read messages sent in plain text

I have a user with Outlook 2007 who can't read messages sent from a Blackberry.  All the text is tiny and appears to have a strikethrough on it.  If I copy and paste to Notepad, you can see the text.  If she forward the message to me, I can see the text (outlook 2003).  I have tried changing the encoding with no luck.  We use a POP service for email.

EDIT - The user informed me today that its not just Blackberry messages, it seems to be any message that was sent in Plain Text.

Also, since 2007 now only uses Word as its default editor.

    Try renaming the users Normal.dotm
    to Normal.old

A new one should be recreated, then try viewing the email again.

I've installed SP2 and tried renaming normal.dotm - no luck with either.  I've attached a bmp showing what the user is seeing in case it helps.

By looking at the email, one can see that the email is in fact not in Plain Text.

Might also try renaming the NormalEmail.dotm

Otherwise, Might try closing Outlook and reopen it using:
    Start>Run>Outlook.exe /safe

Does the email still appear this way?
If it does not, its likely there is an add in causing this issue.

If it still appears this way, close Outlook and re-open using
    Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanprofile

Also, I see in the example you have provided, it appears one can see an users email address.
I would recommend removing the image you have posted and re-adding an edited version without personal details.

Launching in safe mode seems to fix the problem, but after disabling all add-ins and launching Outlook again, the problem is still there.  I also tried renaming normalemail.dotm and restarting Outlook, no luck with that either.  What else is disabled in Safe Mode that could be causing this in regular mode?

Running in safe mode corrected the problem, but none of the addins seemed to be the cause.  We have just resolved to run this installation in Safe Mode at all times.
