What do I need to backup for exchange and AD

I am implementing a new backup solution. What folders in exchange do I need to backup so that in the event of a disaster I can restore everything. Also need to know what to backup for active directory.

I am cool with the shares on the pc and backing them up but I am not sure of these two.
