Transferring files to virtual drive

Hi all,
Im using VM workstation, is there an easy way to transfer a file to the virtual drive? At the moment I have to map the virtual drive as a network drive and transfer, this takes a long time. Anyone know of an easy way?

Thanks

I normally just use the drag and drop method.

Are you sure the vmware tools have been properly installed on the virtual host ?

What's your guest os?

It's also possible to mount a local directory of the host as a file system in the guest through the vmhgfs driver.

If you have installed VMware Tools in your VM, then a simple drag and drop from the Host System to the VM would suffice.
