Im doing P2V -  Windows 2000 server  ---> Vmware converter ---> Vmdk2vhd converter ---> Hyper-v virtual machine.

Im not so familiar with sourcesafe so is there any chance that this conversion can mess up database, users , rights or something else?

Im thinking of puting server offline, do conversion, copy it to hyper-v server and turn it on.
Will users notice anything ?

    No, that should be no problem even when done "online".  However, it's much more safe to do it without SourceSafe and other users changing files all the time ...
