Sonicwall Viewpoint syslog messages not reaching the server

I get the folowing error message trying to get Viewpoint to work:

No Data Available. Summarization has been disabled for this report. For more information Navigate to Configuration->Summarizer Settings

The Sonicwall and Viewpoint software are activated and registered.  Viewpoint is installed and working and the Sonicwall configuration is pointing to the correct IP address.  The Sonicwall is a PRO 1260 Enhanced, although the model doesn't show on the status:

Is teh ViewPoint/Logger computer on the same network as the Sonic?

The messages are UDP "Syslog" - you havn't blocked that anywhere? Remember if yo uhave a "software" firewall on the VP machine it needs to allow that traffic in.

Is the VP machine logging any other devices?

thanks, I'll try that, I think I only opened TCP 514 so far.

Thanks, I had opened TCP, not UDP.
