Laptop Backup solution

i'm looking for a solution to backup around 60 laptops
the laptops are mobile so need to be able to backup to a central store both by LAN and VPN (or without if possible)
i would ideally like a central management console so i can see the status of these backups
some of the solutions i am looking at are retrospect, yosemite, insync, synchromaster, arcserve
are there any other solutions i should be looking at?
what are your views / experiances of these products?
ideally the solution would be less than £1,000 a year (money is a bit tight in these times)

have been using arcserve for laptops and desktops (BABLD), currently they have stopped selling the product, have had good reviews about yosemite but would certainly bet on backup exec for laptops and desktops, guess the license part would be costlier compare to other products you listed.

Have you looked in to Acronis?

works about the same cost as symantec
but tbh i'd choose acronis over symantec anyday

i am thinking i'll have to slap my it director about a bit untill i get an increased budget otherwise i suspect we would just be wasting money on a product that only does half what we want

Symantec DLO? (Backup Exec Desktop Laptop Option)
it was veritas Desktop Laptop Option a while ago.. it has all the features you asked.
we have it configured for sr. management and it works well.. does Local backup as well as Server Backup.

$344 per agent is way out of our price range
the most promising product i'm testing is the yosemite laptop backup enterprise, which is £34 per agent
