Can't Print Email from Outlook 2007

I have a user who is running Outlook 2007. When she opens an email and goes to print it to the network printer nothing happens. I opened the network printer queue, and when I go to print the email, I watch it spool, print, and then disappear. At this point in time, a box pops up in the SysTray saying that the print job completed successfully, but their is no output to the printer. She can print the same email to her local printer. She can also print attachments to emails to the network printer. I need to find out where these print jobs are going. The network printer is a Xerox WorkCentre 5638 Copier that is installed and shared out from a standalone Server running SBS 2003 Standard Edition.

I often get this behaviour with certain Panasonic copiers when I haven't set the print mode to LPR (default is Raw)

I don't see an option to switch RAW to LPR on this particular printer.

Is the printer directly attached to the server or is it connected to the router as a network printer with its own IP address ??

The RAW/LPR options are on the Ports tab under printer properties

It is not connected to the server directly, but is a true network server with it's own IP address.

ConnectNZ,

If I change to LPR under the port settings, it asks me for and LPR Queue name?????????

ConnectNZCommented:
with the panasonics we use port 515 and queue name is 1

I named the queue 1 and it would not let me change the port setting (greyed out). Still cannot print email from Outlook 2007 although I can print to local printer and I can print attachments to the network printer.

If I understand this correctly, she can print to the printer, except emails from Outlook.

If that is the case, the page size is probably incorrect - i.e. letter size when it should be A4 (or vice versa). if the printer has autocontinue enabled it will probably discard the job.

Check the paper size in Outlook's page setup.

wow great answer wyliecoyoteuk:.

I checked the memo style paper size (as same issue was happening for me) and the paper size was set to A5! Hence, nothing was printed. Changed it back to A4 and now can print from Outlook again. Thanks!
