Setup cannot detect an SMTP or Send connector

I am trying to install MS Exchange 2007 64-Bit on Windows 2008 64-Bit Domain Controller. While perfoming prerequisite check it is giving the following warning for HUB TRANSPORT ROLE:

Hub Transport Role Prerequisites
Completed
Warning:
Setup cannot detect an SMTP or Send connector with an address space of '*'. Mail flow to the Internet may not work properly.

Need your help to solve the problem.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If this is your first Exchange 2007 Server, you can safely ignore that warning message. You simply need to ensure that after installation, you configure a Send Connector for sending to the Internet: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998814.aspx.

Thank you tigermatt for your prompt response. Yes, this is the first Exchange 2007 Server. I ignored the warning message, but the installation failed with the following error in Hub Transport:

"Service 'MSExchange Transport' failed to reach status 'Running' on this server".

Have you created the Send Connector for sending to the Internet? Create that, then try to start the Microsoft Exchange Transport Service manually, before re-running setup.

If my solution solved it, was there any reason for a 'B' grade?
