Problem adding static route to remote network

This should be a simple question for someone with a bit more experience. Please see the attached PNG file for the network map.

Both 10.2.x.x networks can reach each other, but I'm trying to add a route on RTR-L to the network on RTR-C. But when I enter the following command:

ip route - I get the "inconsistent subnet mask" error

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Accepted Solution

Static routes don't use wildcard masks. Use a traditional mask instead.

    ip route

    LVL 1

donjohnston is right. During adding the static route You have to input the mask not wilecardmask.
