I'm currently having problems using 1and1's shared hosting for the website of my record label : <a href="http://www.mikrowave.co.uk" rel="ugc">www.mikrowave.co.uk</a>&nbsp;. Users are complaining of downloads freezing at 2mb or not starting at all. Especially for the larger promotional downloads such at this page <a href="http://www.mikrowave.co.uk/elementsx/elements1.html" rel="ugc">http://www.mikrowave.co.uk/elementsx/elements1.html</a><br />

Does anyone have advice on whether getting a VPS will sort this problem out, or is it just a case of getting a better shared host than 1and1? I can't afford to go to the level of a dedicated server yet. <br />
