Access Subreport blank page

I've got a report with two subreport that I put into the Page Footer of the main report.  Problem is when these subreports are blank (sometimes there is no subreport data) then a blank page is added for each subreport.  Is there any way to get rid of these blank pages.

schmir1,

1. This is because you are putting the subreport in the Page Footer.
- Can I ask why?
- What are you displaying in the subreport?
- What is the relationship between the Main report and the subreport?

2. A basic subreport would be in the Detail section of the Main report.
This will allow the whole report to show the Parent/Child relationship between the Main form and the subfrom.
For example: One Customer(Main)/Many Orders(sub)

3. If instead of using subreports, your report could be "Grouped", then this will avoid this issue entirely.

So as you can see, you need to provide some clarification.

I'm not sure why I did it that way but now I'm adding another subreport to it.  Not only do I get blank pages but if this new subreport has two reports, only one is shown.  How do I use the Grouped function?  Maybe that will solve all my problems.

I know why I put the subreports into the footer.  Now that I moved them to the Details section, I get one line from the main report and then a subreport then the next line from the main report and another subreport and so forth.

I still don't know the realationship between the Main report and the subreport(s)

Hmmmm....In a normal Main/SubReport that should not be happening.

Can you post a sample of your Database that displays this issue.

Here is what I hope are all the eccential parts.  The data is on a SQL serve and I couldn't port it over.

Issued_Traveler Report is what I had working but:
  1) It had blank pages if there were no subreports
  2) It only showed the first of my Commitment_Report even if there were more than one.

Hope this helps.

Note: I'm using .accdb format but the uploader only accepted .mdb so that's what I used.

With out any source tables, just the Reports won't help much.

Once again, can you clearly state the relationship between the Main Report and some of the subreports?

Here is an example of a Main Report with two sub reports.
(rptCustomers11Main)
One customer, many Orders and many Complaints

Please explain how your report differs from this.

I realized that it wouldn't be much help without all the stuff.  I figured out a test DB (it wasn't easy) and it has everything to run a real report.  You can change the ID's around to make the subreports come up empty.  Open the form Issued_Traveler_Form and press the Print button in the upper right.  This runs my original report (Issued_Traveler).  To run my modified one, changed the Report button code to Issued_Traveler_new.  I think this will show you my problems.

In my humble opinion, your Report's design is overy complex.

- You have objects nested 3 levels deep (at least as far as I can see)
- You have these multi-nested objects in the Report Footer.
- One of your nested Objects appears to be a Form converted to a Report.

If I were you, I would take a close look at what really needs to be displayed here, and try to simplify this Report.
Possibly by using two Reports and/or filtering.

Thanks for your help.  My users want it all on one report.

As long as I have put in all the work to make an uploadable version of my db, I'm going to repost this question.  I am frankly not that good with reports.  I do very few of them and I'm running out of time.  I got Access 2007 Bible and I've read some papers and I can't see any other way to make it work then with Subreports (which gets me back to my original problem).
