How can I view reporting services reports through IIS? I keep getting the error below.

Server Error in '/ReportServer' Application.

Access is denied.
Description: An error occurred while accessing the resources required to serve this request. The server may not be configured for access to the requested URL.

Error message 401.2.: Unauthorized: Logon failed due to server configuration.  Verify that you have permission to view this directory or page based on the credentials you supplied and the authentication methods enabled on the Web server.  Contact the Web server's administrator for additional assistance.

This isn't by far the best solution, actually one of the worst but a work around that I found was to basically allow all access to the reports by editing the web.config file and adding an <authentication> tag with an <allow users="*"> tag.  THIS IS HIGHLY UNSECURE, however it met our needs.

this should solve your problem

But I'm trying not to work with Integrated Windows Security.  I want the reports to be accessible from outside the network.  I have a login application and menu then from the menu I want the user to be able to access each report.

Does this still apply for what I'm trying to do?
