MS Windows 2003 Server licensing

We recently replaced a failed server with a new one.  Is there a way to transfer the old Server's WIN2k3 server license to the new server after an open vol. licensed copy of 2K3 has been installed?

You will have to contact your vendor if i remember correctly.

What kind of licensing are we talking about? Do you mean activating licenses in the servers licensing server snap-in? Or do you mean terminal server licensing? Or something else?

Without knowing exactly what you mean, I would suggest that you might need to contact your vendor that you bought the licenses from or contact Microsofts Clearinghouse to reactivate the license keys on your server. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291795
