DNS is recording multiple IP addresses for hosts

I have a DHCP server on a 2K3 machine with reservations for other machines.  I also have a 2K8 server running Hyper-V with 4 VMs.  One of the VMs is the PDC for the domain.  When I create a virtual network using the parent partition gui, the NICS are set to obtain IP automatically.  The DHCP server gives them an address and an A record is added to the PDC DNS list.  Now I have multiple A records for the Hyper-V machine and this is causing problems.
Is this normal behavior?  Do I stop using DHCP?  What's happening here..

Yes this is normal behavior. When ever you create a new Virtual Network, there is an adapter created, you can disable DHCP just for that adapter. Follow the link for instructions.

so I would only have an ip adress on the management nic and that nic would not be used in any virtual networks? and the rest of the NICs on the hyper-v host are 0.0.0.0 ?
What IP address do other machines on the network use to contact a vm that has no IP on the hyper-v host?  Is all traffic passing through the 0.0.0.0 adapters to the virtual adapters (which have IP addresses on the network)?

Yes, there is no need for the NICs to be with an IP address in order for the VM data to pass through it. There can be an IP or not, its up to you. Other machines will contact the VMs with IP Addresses assigned to VMs NIC.
