Hi ,

I have a problem with one machine on our network viewing crystal reports. I have a few simple asp pages that generate reports from an Access database. On all the other machines including a couple of vista ones I have no trouble displaying the reports. On this machine - typically is my developer one - the reports don't show - I just get a grey screen as though the activex is not installed or has been blocked - I've had a play at lowering the security etc but no Joy - I'm running Internet Explorer version 7 on a Vista 64 bit machine. We're running Crystal Reports XI

I have had it working on this machine in the past and then it just died on me.. help

Thanks

Seb

Create a restore point (just in case) and copy all of the dll's from windows\crystal to windows\system32.

Thanks Joy - getting access denied on trying to copy at the moment though. Will try another way - Have checked and those dll's are not currently in the System32 folder

Thanks

I know you have it working but what Crystal service packs are installed?

Crystal required a SP to run on Vista.

Which release of CR XI?
Open Crystal
Click HELP --> ABOUT CRYSTAL
Check the version
Release 1 is ver 11.0.xx
Release 2 is ver 11.5.xx

No guarantee this will fix it.  That is Release 1.
I believe you need SP4 or later to get the Vista updates

Sorry guys - bank holiday pause - but I tried the SP4 update but no change.
Do we know if the Crystal reports will run in any other browser? I've tried it before in Firefox and CHrome but no joy?

Thanks
