Sync issues in Outlook

I have a Exchange 2007 with Eset NOD32 antivirus XMON running on it.  I believe that the XMON is causing sync issues to occur.  I end up with a lot of messages in the conflicts folder and the sync issues folder.  I am using cached Exchange mode in Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003 and both have this issue.  I suspect the XMON is updating the message after the local copy is created causing the conflicts.  What is the best way to deal with this issue, other than disabling cached Exchange mode?

I am seeing this issue as well. I also have Eset NOD32 antivirus XM. Do you have a SPAM filter appliance acting as a SMTP relay? Did you find a solution?

I'm running ESET Nod32 on my PC.  We have Symantec Anti-Virus on the Exchange server, but it is not scanning our e-mails.  It is simply protecting the server itself.  Since installing NOD, I have been getting the same sync issues.

Also, I see an entry in this thread marked as accepted solution, but all it says is "any ideas?"?

It appears to be a problem with the Outlook integration with ESET. Can you try the solution below and see if you still see the sync issues?

1.      Open the main program window by clicking the ESET icon  next to your system clock or by clicking Start ’ All Programs ’ ESET ’ ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus.

2.      Press the F5 key to open the Advanced Setup window.

3.      From the Advanced Setup tree on the left, click Miscellaneous ’ Email client integration and deselect the Integrate into Microsoft Outlook and Integrate into Outlook Express/Windows Mail options.

4.      Reopen your email program.

jwpaco,

Thank you for the suggestion.  Upon navigating to the menu you described above, I noticed another option below all of the e-mail integration options that says "Disable checking upon Inbox content change.".  I selected that option, restarted Outlook, and I think that fixed it.

I was noticing this was happening to every message I would read that would later become marked as read when I would click on another message.  Following the steps I just mentioned, I tried reading several unread messages and have not gotten a single "sync-splat".

Thanks again!
