Uninstalling eTrust 7.1 from entire domain - Uninstall from GPO possible?

Hi Experts

I have a bunch of customers using CA eTrust 7.1 from years and years ago. As most of you probably know, this version is now out of date and CA are no long releasing updates for this package.

How do I create a GPO to remove ALL the CA eTrust products from the domain, so I can roll out their new AV software?
I'd rather not go round each PC and remove the software, as I'll be doing this for well over 100+ PCs over the next few weeks...

Thanks,
Mark

You could use msiexec in a logon script to uninstall, you would need the GUID from the registry;

If you are planning for installing the latest version of CA Etrust,

Then you dont need to uninstall it from each machine, just get the latest product and use remote install to install in the client machine, this will also remove the old version.

Hi Brum,

Thanks for your response.
Do you know if the GUID would be different for each PC?

I'm not planning of updating to the latest CA product either :)
