Add FLV video using Dreamweaver CS4

I clicked on Insert/Media/FLV... and inserted the video to my site.  I understand there are two other files that Dreamweaver creates and puts in a scripts folder that must be uploaded to server  in order to view the video.

1. Where is the scripts folder located?  It is not on my defined site.
2.  Is there anyway to tell Dreamweaver to put these script files in a specific folder?

Hi nsitedesigns,

The above code is not using the AC_RunActiveContent.js file...delete the movie and re-embed it...

>> 1. Where is the scripts folder located?  It is not on my defined site.

See above.  It should automatically be created in the local site root and will be "Scripts" with a capital S

>> 2.  Is there anyway to tell Dreamweaver to put these script files in a specific folder?

No, but you can move the files after they have been created and if you have caching turned on, DW should prompt you to update the files with the new location.  Warning:  the next time you embed a Flash file, a new instance of "Scripts" will be created.

I re-embedded the movie same problem.  The ONLY files that appear on my site are the Clear-Skin_1.swf and FLVPLayer_Progressive.swf.  According to the Missing Manuel book for CS4, I should also see a Scripts folder with expressInstall.swf and swfobject_modified.js files.  I have inserted movies before using MX and had no problems.

Jason1178, I don't know what you mean when you say the above code is not using AC-RunActive.....

This is pissing me off.

1. I have attached all the code for the page below.
2. I am using a mac.  I opened Preferences/Code Rewriting and there aren't any options to check Insert Using Browser Safe Scripts and COnvert Tags...  See screen shot.
3. I am looking at the file in the root directory and don't know why you can't see it.

Hmmm, I think the problem is with the crappy host that the client has.  I embedded the movie onto MY site using MY host and it worked just fine.  I also could see the scripts folder on MY site but not on my CLIENT's site.  So strange.
You have to upload the Scripts folder manually.  It is not automatically created on the remote server...
Yes, I know that.  The problem was that in my client's site (asp files) a Scripts folder never generated.  I did a test page (html) and a scripts folder was generated.
That is weird.  I wonder if it's an ASP thing or a Mac thing?
or both....
That too.  Anyway, I'm glad it has been sorted out.  Good luck.
