Outlook Not Receiving some Email, Blackberry Is Receiving it All

Hello Experts!
This question is related to some asked on Blackberry/Outlook  topic but yet his is different..... I have one user who gets all email on his Blackberry but some mail doesn't make it to Outlook. This user would normally get about 10+ emails at a day and at least 1 of them would be missing in the Outlook. So about 10% of all email is effected. This email is also missing on the Exchange when I look through outlook web access. Yes, I've check the Junk mail box and Deleted items as well :)

Any ideas what would be a reason for that? Thanks!!!

Is those missing emails are FIRST received in blackberry device?

Is the Blackberry running the POP3 service? If so it could be downloading the mail and removing it off the servr before it reaches outlook.

ram_kerala: I am not sure what do you mean by "FIRST" The emails received on Blackberry but not Outlook.

nealerocks: We have BES so all mail is pushed to Blackberrys.

Has Powershell sent you back into the Stone Age?

If managing Active Directory using Windows Powershell® is making you feel like you stepped back in time, you are not alone.  For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why.

Is the user moving them into folders on the blackberrý?

Also do you have any rules in outlook that could be deleating them?

We had a client that had emails being deleted because her computer saw the word ass in assistant

ccosby: No... the email stays put in the Inbox and there are no rules that would do any content filtering

Do you have the software Desktop Manager for the blackberry loaded on a computer?

Hook the blackberry up to a computer with that software.  Check how the reconciling is done and make sure if conflicts between reconciliation occur that the computer / server wins, not the phone.

Also the phone may have settings on it that make it delete emails out of the mailbox once it downloads them.

I would also check your spam filter.  Some filters can be configured where they pull the message after the BES has already pushed it.  I have seen that one time before, but I can't remember which filter it was.

Check the spam filter.
Check the rules.
Make sure the message shows in Exchange's logs...
Make sure the TO: email address is the same on both emails... common oversight.

Guys, thanks for good ideas but no dice yet :(

* Exchange Logs do show the message to be delivered to mailbox store
* Spam Folder doesn't have it
* Spam filter (GFI) processes mail at SMTP level (before BB gets it, thanks god!)
* No rules are set in Outlook
* Mailbox (vs. BB) is configured to win on a conflict
* only some random 10% or so doesn't make it to Outlook

Any other thoughts ?

Can you see if it shows up in exchange webmail to see if this issue is on the desktop side?

First thing to do is to resend the service book, back to the bb device wait 20 minutes and test.  If that still does not correct the issue, then remove the user completely from the BES and re-activate, etc...

Hi, on the device open an email that has not arrived in Outlook.  At the top of the email compare the Received Using field and also check the Folder field (this will tell you where the email should be located)

The next thing I would check after doing what I mentioned above if you still have an issue is to check the Desktop Manager that is installed on the users PC if it was setup via the BES install option correctly and not the redirector option.

Guys thank you for all suggestions and my apology for taking so long to get back. I had to do some travel and also wanted my user to keep a close eye on the issue and report to me all occurrences. At the moment it seems the problem went away. If it comes back I'll try resending service books or other things. Thank you again!
