Since yesterday, everytime I start up my pc I get a pop up from MS Outlook EXPRESS offering to compress emails to save space.

I only us MS Outlook, not Express.  I don't even see that Expres is install on my pc as I wenting to add/remove programs to remove it and it was not there.

How can I stop that pop up from appearing?

M3Metal--What happens if you accept the offer to compress?  Maybe it will do its thing and go away for another 100 boots.  (As one of the posters in the thread said you do have OE on the PC if you installed XP.)
