How do i test my flash drive for reliability and capability

I have a bunch of flash drives i got from china and they don't seem to be holding data. Im not sure why, but i would at least find out if they are usable. I have tried to format from my machine, but formatting NTFS failed. What are some tools available to test the quality of the drive. I don't want to lose any info i have to store on the device.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated as always.

Thanks.

Try a free program called USB Flash Drive Tester, it's available from Virtual Console, it tests for bad or unstable sectors of any type of flash memory.
get it here

So its safe to say if it throws errors when running these tests that the drives are no good and therefor useless. Is there anyway of fixing this or should i consider it a loss.

Thanks for the input

if the software doe not repair it, consider it lost.
you can always run a chkdsk over it, for more info..
