Upload multiple open files in Dreamweaver CS4
Is there a way to upload multiple files that are currently open in DW CS4? I don't want to upload each one individually. For instance, I just did a find and replace, and now I have 100 files open. I would like an option that says "Upload All Open Files"
Seems simple enough, Adobe...
Any help?

Arghh... sometimes I wonder if Adobe takes cues from Microsoft.
There is no plugin or anything anywhere?

If those files on the server, you just need to close dreamweaver, and save all the files.
If not then grabbing a folder of those files won't take longer then 10 sec. well?
Best wishes, Yan

No, TheYan,
Not that simple. I've done a find and replace, and multiple, randomly placed files are open.

Not to the best of my knowledge. Your best bet after saving all of the open files is to expand the Files panel to its fullscreen mode and resort the local list by Modified (descending). That will move all of the folders with newly modified files in order below any file in the web root. You can then upload the files by using control-clicks or control-shit clicks to select in groups.

Alternately, go into the Site Definition | Remote Info and select "Automatically Upload files to server on save"
However, that's usually more trouble than it's worth.

Won't saving the files replace those, or the files that are open in dreamweaver on your pc and not on the server?

>> do a sync for your entire site, it will replace only the files that have been changed
Assuming the local machine's timestamp is correct, yes. Good answer, Philip_Spark.

Normally if you change a file and your site is properly configured in dreamweaver. Then by saving a file it will also ask if you want to upload it on the server...

I don't think sync will work, as it is a dynamic website, and users are uploading into their client folders.
I think I'm just stuck with shortcut keys of uploading and saving.
Thanks all... if you find a plugin let me know!

Hey, I got it!
And I suppose it is part of a sync function.
Basically what i've done is found and replaced all.
Saved.
Select All Local NEWER.
Then uploaded.
Done.

It does. Unfortunately, there is no way to do it.
