I have a website, first one in Joomla 1.5 and certain articles show the Main Menu and certain ones do NOT.  It makes no sense.

I tried different templates and they did not work either.

I tried removing the articles and menu items and adding them back in with different names, but no change. and the Contact item is one of these.

in backend (administrator) when you go to extensions / modules and select the mainmenu module that is in position left - is it assigned to ALL pages? - I think this will solve yoru problem, if I understand it correctly

Each template has different module positions. Depending in where the module is placed it will be visible or not. Check where the menu's are placed in the module manger (admin login, extensions, module manager).

Find the menu your looking for (mod_mainmenu) and check it's position and if it is published.
