Connecting iMAC to netgear834pn

dear all,

recently ive purchased a new iMAC. I am currently trying to connect my mac to router but it isnt working. ive set the router password from my pc using WEP, and consequently used the keys on my imac but it still won't connect. any suggestions??

    How far do you get? Do you see the wireless network on your iMac? Does it ask you for a password?
